The last year lockdown has disrupted the mental health of over 80% of people worldwide. The worst affected people have been from the working class with their job as the primary source of income. Apart from those, older people, children coping up with studying in their home & unable to meet their friends are also facing suppressed psychological issues they cannot identify.
The ladies working 24/7 to maintain the flow of their households is worst affected as they have zero time for themselves amidst this lockdown. Fear, stress, anxiety & worry are the most common things people feel in their daily lives. As the lockdown is imposed again, & the increasing death toll has again hit our society like nothing before, the tension is at an all-time high as the novel Coronavirus is hitting everyone.
In such an unprecedented time, K.R. Mangalam has come up with an initiative to help the society but contributing its bit by providing accessible mental wellbeing help at their fingertips. At KRMU, our batch of Psychology students & faculty with many years of experience serving the community will help you understand the underlying uneasiness you’ve been feeling. These one-to-one sessions will be conducted virtually by our Dr Rupali Chandola, Psychologist & Assistant Professor, School of Humanities at K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram. As an educational institution responsible for imparting quality education & shaping future generation into ethical & socially inclined individual, we are here to empower every section of society through every medium possible.
