Extension Activity on Collecting Insects

The Sultanpur Lake Forest (Sultanpur National Park) was visited by students of K.R. Mangalam University from the School of Agricultural Sciences as part of the activity “Collection of Diversified Insect Species from Sultanpur Lake Forest.” The activity was a significant and impactful manoeuvre as the students developed a stronger comprehension of how to locate, examine, and collect insects. Numerous pollinators were successfully captured and collected by the students after they searched for them on the flowers. Students searched for the pest and its habitat. There was a sense of awe in witnessing all these small insects that have a significant impact on the globe and our entire ecosystem, in addition to learning about their ecology.
