Prof. Meena Bhandari
Professor & Dean – Basic & Applied Sciences
Prior to joining this institute, Dr. Bhandari has worked at various positions at Apeejay College of Engineering and at PDM College of Women. She worked on AICTE sponsored project “Isolation of bio-pesticides from aromatic/medicinal plants” at Apeejay College of Engineering, Sohna. She worked as project associate in industrial consultancy project at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) New Delhi and carried out the work concerning derivatization of Vitamin C for further manipulations for industrial use and on extraction of aromatic compounds.
She worked under the supervision of Prof. H.M.Chawla on the topic “Synthesis, Solution Behaviour & Applications of Calix{n}arenes” for her Ph.D at IIT Delhi. Her M.Phil dissertation topic was “preparation & Characterization of Dibromoacetic Anhydride & some Dibromoacetates” at PU Chandigarh.
