Dr. Ritwik Ghosh
Assistant Professor – Journalism & Mass Communication
Dr Ritwik Ghosh, Assistant Professor at K R Mangalam University, has a career of seven years in the academic sector that is complemented with a robust tenure of about 20 years in the media industry, both in India and abroad, that includes flagship organisations like BBC, Financial Times and the Saudi Royal Commission.
His prominent research works has been in the areas of fake news, digital culture, media and information literacy, social behaviour, AI/ new technology and digital media. He has worked in the corporate research project on online gaming and e-sports. Has guided research project on marketing strategy for digital clothing.
He is a member of IAMCR & ICA.
His current domain of study is digital transformation, postmodernism, homotechnologicus, AI and robotics.
He has served as a resource person for Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops and guest lectures at places of repute, enriching the academic discourse.
Dr Ghosh has been a part of the launch team of an all women’s community radio based in Ghaziabad. He has conducted number of community outreach activities, workshops, campaigns and research initiatives on media and digital literacy, fact checking and fake news verification, gender issues, among others, which includes in rural and slum areas too.
His expertise extends to technical domains as well. He is a trained technical specialist in digital broadcast, pro-audio, AV equipment and entertainment lighting. He has provided professional consultancy services for designing and project management for audio-visual projects.
He has had the privilege to work and collaborate with eminent artistes and choreographers from India and abroad in the capacity of a creative director and musician, further enriching his artistic journey.
