CCTV – OPERATOR

Position: CCTV Operator

Department: IT Department

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor CCTV footage from various cameras installed in and around the IT facilities to detect and respond to security incidents or breaches.
• Conduct regular checks of surveillance equipment, including cameras, monitors, and recording devices, to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Coordinate with the IT security team to develop and implement surveillance strategies and protocols to enhance the security posture of the organization.
• Respond promptly to alarms or alerts generated by the surveillance system and take appropriate action, such as notifying security personnel or escalating incidents as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of surveillance activities, including incident reports, footage logs, and system maintenance records.
• Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot technical issues related to the surveillance system and assist in resolving any hardware or software problems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulations when handling sensitive information captured by the surveillance system.
• Assist in the review and analysis of surveillance footage during investigations into security incidents, data breaches, or other IT-related incidents.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends in the IT industry to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Provide support to other IT personnel during system upgrades, maintenance activities, or emergency response situations.

Qualifications:

• 12^th , High school diploma or Graduated, additional training or certification in IT security, surveillance operations, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience working as a CCTV operator or in a similar role within an IT environment.
• Strong understanding of CCTV systems, surveillance equipment, and IT security principles, including knowledge of network protocols, IP cameras, and video management software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret surveillance footage and identify security incidents or anomalies.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment.
