International Women's Day

KR Mangalam University, Internal Complaints Committee and Gender Sensitization Committee celebrated International Women's Day on March 8, 2022, in collaboration with Pranab Mukherjee Foundation. Mrs Vandana Singh, the Social worker, was the chief guest of the program. Mr Anshuman Kalra, Founder of Biocredence, Mrs Tanushree Gupta, Founder of "Har Pulse", Mr Sunil Jaglan, Founder of "Selfie with Daughter Campaign", Pushpalata Tripathi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Mahajan, Registrar were invited as the special guests of the program. She contributed to several social services during the coronavirus pandemic. Prof. CS Dubey, the Vice-Chancellor, calls for breaking the bias.
 
 
Dr Kiran Bala, Dean, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, began the program with a quote by Dr Sima Bahous, “Let us make this International Women’s Day a moment to recall that we have the answers not just for SDG 5 Gender Equality and Women Empowerment but, through the advancement of gender equality, for all 17 Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030”. She presented her views on women's empowerment and gender equality.   Sunil Jaglan made the students aware of gender discrimination, rights created for the girl child and respecting every girl in the world. Taking the program forward, Mrs Vandana Singh shared her experiences and said that every girl in this world is Kalpana Chawla and Rani Laxmi Bai, who is telling the importance of girls in the world. Mr Anshuman Kalra and Tanushree Gupta made a PowerPoint presentation with a focus on women's health and also, made everyone aware of the bright future and healthy life of women. This year, the university celebrated International Women's Day on Gender Equality, for a sustainable tomorrow and it was a successful event aiming at ‘Happy girls for a better tomorrow.
