13th August Venue - Lakhuwas Village

Har Ghar Tiranga

On the occasion of the 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the School of Agriculture Sciences K.R. Mangalam University organized a tree plantation drive at Lakhuwas Village on 13 August 2022. The drive was inaugurated by the SDM Sohna, Mr. Jitendra Garg, and the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. C. S. Dubey. The national flag was also distributed to the villagers and other commuters on the Sohna highway to celebrate the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative by the Government of India.

    

During the noble initiative, Mr. Garg appreciated the efforts made by the university students and faculty members. He discussed the importance and benefits of tree plantation to everyone present over there. Prof. C S Dubey briefed SDM, Sohna about various sustainable efforts to be undertaken by K.R. Mangalam University to increase the standard of living of villagers which can contribute towards nation building, SDM Sohna appreciated the thought process and efforts of K.R. Mangalam university and assured all possible help from the administration. During the drive, more than a hundred shady and fruit saplings were planted, and the villagers promised to save nature. 

A hundred local villagers joined the drive. After the tree plantation, the team distributed hundreds of national flags, tri-color caps, badges, and double-sided cross flag stands for vehicles and offices to the commuters at the Sohna toll gate. During the event, all deans of the schools, faculty members, and more than two hundred students participated.
