Tips To Prepare For the CUET UG Exam 2023

It’s not too close that you can’t prepare the best for your CUET exam as according to their official website the exams are going to start on 21 May 2023. Also, the exam city slip will be released on 30 April 2023 and CUET admit cards will be released on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the second week of May 2023.

CUET UG 2023 gives 12th students an opportunity to re-examine their knowledge through a fair and equal examination process. So, you don’t want to lose this opportunity to pursue your dream course at participating universities. Also, the CUET UG is going to be held in mediums such as English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kanada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Odia and Assamese.

Before you begin preparing, the first step should be getting familiar with the CUET UG Exam scheme for you to find concepts and methods you should work more on.

Note: If you haven’t applied then CUET last date to apply for undergraduate programmes has been extended to 30 march 2023.

Mode of Examination

CUET UG 2023 will be a Computer Based Test (online mode).

CUET Examination Scheme

CUET UG is comprised of three sections. Read below for detailed information about these sections.

Section 1 (Langauge)

You have to attempt a minimum of 40 questions out of 50 in each language.

Section 1A

13 languages will be offered. Any of these languages may be chosen

Section 1B

20 languages will be offered. Any of these languages may be chosen.

Section 2 (Domain Specific)

You will be offered 27 Domains specific subjects. Also, choose any subject according to the desire of the applicable University/Universities. You must attempt 35/40 questions out of 45/50.

Section 3 (General Test)

This section is for any such undergraduate programme/programmes being offered by Universities where a General Test is being used for admission. It is mandatory to attempt 50 questions out of 60.

Important Notes: 

  1. From the above subjects/languages, you can choose a maximum of 10 subjects from all sections.
  2. It is a multi-day examination going to be conducted on three shifts per day, depending upon the appearing candidates and subject choices.

This section of language will test your reading comprehension ability based on different types of passages such as

  • Factual, Literary and Narrative
  • Literary Aptitude
  • Vocabulary

Section 3 (General Test)

  • General Knowledge
  • Current Affairs
  • General Mental Ability

Prepare an efficient timetable with respect to all the subject matter you need to cover. Also, make sure to follow it properly and regularly.

Rigorously Solving Sample Paper

Regularly manage to solve 2-3 CUET sample papers this will enhance your knowledge along with developed skills to solve a paper timely.

Prioritize Basic Topics

Make sure you have adequate knowledge of every basic concept and topic, the reason for this is CUET (UG) is mostly focused on examining your basic understanding.
