Dr. Seema Raj is a distinguished academic and dynamic thought leader in the field of chemistry, currently serving as the Associate Dean of Research Grant and Associate Professor, School of Basic & Applied Science (SBAS) at K.R. Mangalam University, Gurgaon. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she provides a rigorous and challenging education, equipping students with the confidence, tools, and skills needed for success. Dr. Raj holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Amity University Noida, where her research focused on biodiesel, fly ash, water treatment, and waste management. Dr. Raj’s academic journey began in 2003, and over the years, she has held various teaching and administrative positions.

Since January 2015, she has been with K R Mangalam University, where she has played a pivotal role in Research, Innovation, and Extension activities. She has been a key member of several committees, including the NAAC Criteria III Head, IQAC Cell, Research & Development Cell, BoS member etc. She has also been a guiding force for Ph.D. students and has mentored numerous research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Before joining K R Mangalam University, Dr. Raj was a Senior Lecturer at Gurgaon Institute of Technology and Management (2007-2014), where she handled various academic and administrative responsibilities.

She also served as a Lecturer at Anupama College of Engineering (2006-2007) and as a PGT Teacher at Bramhanand Public School (2005-2006). Dr. Raj’s research interests include the utilization of fly ash in construction blocks, soil improvement, biodiesel extraction and characterization, water treatment, and the social upliftment of communities through value chain processes. She has published disparate papers in peer reviewed international and national journals, presented more than 15 papers at conferences, and authored more than 10 books and book chapters. Dr. Raj’s dedication to research and education has been recognized through various awards and grants, including a project sanctioned as Co-Principal Investigator from the DST-SEED division for KEIC STI-HUB SOHNA BLOCK, Gurugram, Haryana, worth Rs 1.56 Crore. Dr. Seema Raj continues to inspire and lead in the academic world, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in her students and peers.
