The School of Basic and Applied Sciences at K.R. Mangalam University imparts teaching and conducts researchthrough various science disciplines viz Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. The School enhances technical knowledge as well as skill and ability of the students, motivating them to think critically, helping them to act independently and to take decisions according to scientific pursuits and other endeavors. It strives to empower its students and faculty members to contribute to the development of society and nation. The faculty members are in constant touch with various experts in their fields and are willing to experiment with the latest ideas in teaching and research. The school comprises of Department of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
Highly Qualified Faculty: Faculty Members have PhD degrees from prestigious institutions like IIT, JNU and University of Delhi.
Research Oriented Curriculum: All Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs incorporate current topics of research in their course work as well as Project/ Dissertation to empower students with latest scientific developments.
Well Equipped Laboratories: To impart practical exposure, improve understanding and grasp scientific principles better, the school has well equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Research Projects: Faculty members are encouraged and actively involved in R&D work and have funded research projects. The School boasts of ongoing DST Sponsored Project on “Plasma Physics” with grant of 22 lakh on which faculty and research scholars are working.
Industrial/Academic Interaction Activities: The School organizes Conferences/ Workshops in the campus and encourages students to visit Research Laboratories/ Industries. The school arranges lectures from industry persons related to general topics. Recently a two day conference, AASET -2017, was organized on August 17-18, 2017.
Future Endeavors: Our students are placed with reputed institutions for higher studies like IITs; Thapar University, Patiala; Goa Institute of Management, Goa; YMCA, Faridabad after clearing entrance examination like CAT and IIT JAM etc.
