Dr. Chandra Mohan, Associate Professor of Chemistry, K R Mangalam University working since 2013 is a Senior Faculty with over 15 years of teaching and research experience, having expertise in Inorganic Chemistry. Prior to joining this institute, he has taught many courses to Science and Engineering students at Shivaji College, HMRITM and Aryabhatta College. He has obtained Doctorate (Chemistry) in the field of Chemical Sensors from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, India in 2018. He received M.Phil in Chemistry from University of Delhi in 2009 and Masters from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer in 2007.
His research work focused on heterocyclic Schiff based multidentate transition metal complexes for biological and sensor applications, and clay based composites, waste water treatment, Polymer nanocomposites. He has published more than 65 research papers in Peer reviewed journals indexed in WoS, Scopus, SCI, PubMed; 12 books, 15 book chapters and 20 patents. He recently published papers in International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (IF-8.2), Polymers for Advanced Technologies (IF-3.4), MDPI-Polymers (IF-4.96), Clean technologies & Environmental Policy (IF-4.7), Chemical Physics Impact (IF-3.8), MDPI-Micromachines (IF-3.5), Membranes (IF-4.6), Polymers for Advanced Technologies (IF-3.4) and Agronomy (IF-3.7). His edited books on “Clay, A Novel Material: Characterization and Applications” recently published in Cambridge Scholars Publishing, UK and “Green Chemistry Approaches to Environmental Sustainability: Status, Challenges, & Prospective” in Elsevier. He is working on 2 edited volumes with international publishers like Springer and De Gruyter, Germany.
He was recently awarded with Advanced Materials Award by the International Association for Advanced Materials (IAAM), Sweden in 2024 and Young Researcher Award from IARC Kenya in 2022 for his outstanding contribution in research. He also received Distinguished Faculty Award-2023 for exemplary contribution in Research by K R Mangalam University. He serves as a member of various scientific societies like ACS, RSC, SACI, ECS (USA), CCS, ISCA, ICC etc. He has been invited as session head and keynote speakers in various International Conferences in UK, Germany, Turkey, UAE and Southe Africa. He is working as Associate Editor for INORGACHEM Journal, UAE.
He recently organized International conference (AMGSE-2024) and FDP with Hansraj College as Convener in 2024. He was the Convener of International FDP in 2022 and Co-convener of International Conference (AASET-2017). He has also extended the privilege of being an organizing committee member in ICASE-2022, ASET-2021, NANO MALAYSIA-2019 international conferences. He serves as editorial board member of various international journals like Analytical Letters, World Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, Journal of Innovative Research etc.
