Professor Dr Dinesh Singh

Professor Dr. Dinesh Singh is the Chancellor of K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram. He is a globally recognised mathematician and educationist and a recipient of the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian awards, in 2014.

For his exceptional work and innovative contributions, Prof. Singh has received honorary doctorates in recognition of his contributions as a mathematician and educationist from the University of Edinburgh; the National University of Ireland, Cork; the University of Houston, Houston, USA; and the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.

Dr. Dinesh Singh studied at St. Stephen’s College and earned his Ph.D. from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London. He has served as the vice-chancellor of the University of Delhi. He is also a distinguished senior fellow and Advanced Hackspace member at the Imperial College London and an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, Houston, USA.

This dynamic academic leader is one of the key figures behind the establishment of the Institute for Inventions, Innovations and Entrepreneurship (TIIIE) at K.R. Mangalam University. TIIIE aims to enhance the academic profile of K.R. Mangalam University by providing students with globally relevant expertise and qualifications, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed as professionals and entrepreneurs.
