Seminar on AI and Cloud Computing
The School of Engineering & Technology (SOET) organised an Expert Talk on “Microservices Architecture”, delivered by Mr. Nikhil Arora, Software Architect & Technical Consultant at EIS Ltd. The session highlighted the evolution, importance, and real-world applications of microservices in modern software development.
Mr. Arora shared industry insights, tools, and career-oriented skills, making the session highly interactive and informative. Over 70 students from BTech CSE and BTech CSE (AIML) actively participated in the session and Q&A. The event was smoothly coordinated by SOET faculty members and proved to be a valuable learning experience, enhancing students’ industry readiness and understanding of emerging technologies.


Expert Talk on Network Security Assurance
An Expert Talk on Network Security Assurance was conducted with Ms. Kamini Malhotra, Head of Network Security Assurance at DRDO, as the speaker. She shared valuable insights on IoT security, blockchain-based secure transactions, network security protocols, and strategies to prevent major cybersecurity threats.
The session highlighted the importance of robust network security in the digital age and proved to be informative and engaging. Students appreciated the expert insights and recommended more such sessions in the future.
Expert Talk on Engineering Your Path
K.R. Mangalam University organised an insightful Expert Talk titled “Engineering Your Path: The Entrepreneurial Mindset.” The session was delivered by Mr. Sanjay Kumar Malik, Director at Lepton Projects Private Limited, who shared valuable insights on innovation, self-driven success, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Mr. Malik emphasised the importance of creativity, resilience, and vision, while guiding students on identifying real-world problems and developing scalable solutions. The interactive session encouraged students to think like founders and explore their potential, motivating them to adopt an entrepreneurial approach in their academic and professional journeys.

Workshop on Idea Forge: Navigating Problem Solving Ideation
K.R. Mangalam University in collaboration with KEIC organized a workshop on Idea Forge: Navigating Problem Solving & Ideation. Held on April 2nd, 2024, attendees benefitted greatly from the expertise of Mr. Awijit Singh, General Manager at Mamaearth, Honasa Consumer Limited, who was the keynote speaker of the session. With a focus on innovative problem-solving techniques, participants were left inspired and equipped to tackle challenges creatively. The event marked a significant milestone in fostering a culture of ingenuity and collaboration.


Leadership Talk on Inspiring the Young Generations of Leaders
The event began with an opening address by Dr. Indira Bhardwaj, Dean, SOMC, highlighting the need to foster leadership among youth, followed by a welcome note from Prof. Raghuveer Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, who stressed the importance of such sessions in shaping future leaders.
Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Air Command, IAF, delivered an inspiring keynote, drawing from his four decades of service. He spoke about the core values of leadership—vision, discipline, resilience, and integrity—leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
The interactive session saw enthusiastic student participation, with Air Marshal Mishra answering insightful questions on leadership and career development.

Panel Discussion on Bridging the Gap: Navigating Internship Opportunities
A panel discussion titled “Bridging the Gap: Navigating Internship Opportunities for Law Students” was successfully organised, featuring eminent legal professionals from leading Tier-One law firms. The panel included Ms. Sayntani Chatterjee (Dua Associates), Mr. Nachiketa Goyal (Kochhar & Co.), Mr. Shubham Malhotra (Lawstrings Management Business Development), and Mr. Anil Tiwari (Hammurabi Solomon Partners).
The session focused on internship expectations of top law firms, essential skills sought in interns, and effective application strategies. Panelists also highlighted the importance of networking and industry readiness.


Expert Talk on Global Trends in Higher Education
The Moti Lal Nehru Chair at the School of Legal Studies organised an expert lecture under the esteemed Motilal Nehru Lecture Series on the topic “Global Trends in Higher Education,” delivered by Prof. Ved Prakash, Former Chairman of the UGC and Former Chancellor of KIIT University. Prof. Ved Prakash delivered an insightful address, emphasizing evidence-based policymaking, structural reforms, and the need for self-assessment in the higher education sector. He advocated for gender equality, multidisciplinary learning, and dynamic curriculum updates to align with evolving societal and technological needs. Highlighting the pillars of Knowledge, Understanding, and Contemplation, he urged educators to adopt a transformative approach to teaching, aimed at nurturing innovation and meaningful academic growth. The lecture was coordinated by Dr. Shobhna Jeet, Mr. Prashant Panwar, and Dr. Megha Garg.
Expert Lecture on Right to Privacy and Data Protection Law
An expert lecture on “Right to Privacy and Data Protection Law” was organised by the Motilal Nehru Chair in collaboration with the School of Legal Studies. Prof. M.K. Bhandari, Founder and Director of GALTER, delivered an insightful session on the constitutional evolution of the right to privacy in India, with special reference to the 2017 Puttaswamy Judgment.
The lecture addressed key challenges of data protection in the digital age, comparing India’s data protection framework with the EU’s GDPR, and discussed the impact of emerging technologies such as AI, Big Data, and IoT. An interactive Q&A session further enriched the discussion, providing students with valuable legal and practical insights into privacy and data protection.

“Emerging Trends and Innovation in the Pharmaceutical Industry” by Dr. Parijat Pandey, from Gurugram University, who shared his expertise on the latest advancements shaping the future of the pharma sector.

The School of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation successfully organised KRMU PHYSIOCON 2.0 under the theme “Towards Holistic Healthcare – Integrating Indian Knowledge System” Dr. Monika and Dr. Kiran from the AYUSH Department, District Gurugram, conducted “Prakriti Parikshan”, an app-based body constitution analysis grounded in Ayurvedic principles.
Through this initiative, participants received personalised meal plans and nutrition guidance based on their individual Prakriti (body type). The session offered a unique opportunity to experience the seamless integration of traditional knowledge with modern healthcare practices.

Expert Talk on Beat the Clock, Conquer Procrastination, Embrace Success
Ms. Sonal Goel, a distinguished civil servant, delivered a thought-provoking talk on several crucial topics including Procrastination and Time Management Techniques, and elaborating on the detrimental effects of procrastination, emphasizing how it can hinder personal growth and success. She shared practical strategies and tools to combat procrastination, providing attendees with actionable steps to overcome this common challenge


Open House Discussion on UPSC and UPSC Aspirants
Session on Mastering Emotions and Communication
School of Liberal Arts organized a session on “Mastering Emotions and Communication: Unlocking the Life Skill for Success”. The session was conducted by Ms. Varsha KV and Ms. Aakansha Sharma, Co-founders of Beyond Words, an organisation dedicated to mental health awareness and emotional well-being. The workshop aimed to help students develop emotional intelligence, enhance communication skills, and build meaningful connections through self-awareness and empathy.
The session began with a Chinese Whispers icebreaker, highlighting the role of active listening and communication. This was followed by a reflective exercise, emphasising empathetic connection and self-awareness in conversations. Students engaged in empathy mapping, analysing emotions, thoughts, and behaviours in various situations.

Art Mural Event
K.R. Mangalam University, in collaboration with Somany Ceramics, recently concluded an engaging four-day tile art mural event. Led by Mr. Anshuman Chakravarty, Head of Marketing & Communication at Somany Ceramics, and Mr. Sujit Mohanty, GVT Vertical Head, the event celebrated the creativity of talented students. Certificates were awarded to commend their contributions to the wall tile art mural, showcasing an inspiring fusion of art and sustainability in architectural design.

Guest Lecture on Future of Fashion
K.R. Mangalam University successfully hosted a thought-provoking guest lecture under the ADDA@SOAD series on “The Future of Fashion is Circular”.
The session featured K. S. Radhakrishnan, one of India’s leading contemporary sculptors, celebrated for his iconic bronze figures Musui and Maiya. Drawing from his artistic roots at Santiniketan, Radhakrishnan shared powerful insights on the relationship between sculpture, space, and sustainability.
Students experienced a rare fusion of artistic philosophy and architectural thinking, making it an inspiring and memorable learning experience.

Workshop on Digital Forensics
The School of Basic and Applied Sciences, K.R. Mangalam University organised a workshop on “Digital Forensics: Awareness on Trends and Technology” for Forensic Science students. The session was led by Air Commodore R.N. Gaekwad (Retd.), Managing Director of Idyllics Futuristic Technologies (IFT), who shared expert insights on drone forensics and its role in cybercrime investigations.
Students gained practical exposure to drone components, forensic tools, and real-world applications, including legal admissibility and cyber threat mitigation. A live demonstration by IFT’s drone instructor and an interactive Q&A session enriched the learning experience.


Workshop on Cybersecurity
The Department of Forensic Science, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, K.R. Mangalam University, organised a hands-on workshop on Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking for B.Sc. (H) Forensic Science students. The training featured expert sessions by professionals from the Cyberelite Task Force, covering data recovery, cybercrime case studies, and career opportunities in cybersecurity.

Delve into the artistry of Japanese cooking as Chef Kanhaiya Laal shares invaluable techniques and insights, unveiling a world of exotic flavors and dishes to eager students.
Indian Seafood Delicacies Workshop
The School of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology organised an engaging event on Indian seafood delicacies, coordinated by Chef Varinder. During the session, Chef Sen showcased a range of seafood dishes, demonstrating professional culinary techniques and sharing insights on preparation and presentation.
The event concluded with a tasting session, allowing students to experience the flavours firsthand. The session proved to be informative and inspiring, enhancing students’ appreciation of Indian seafood cuisine and practical culinary skills.


Room Cleaning and Towel Art Competition
The School of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in collaboration with Four Points by Sheraton, organised a highly interactive and educational Room Cleaning and Towel Art Competition. This event was specially designed for first-year students, providing them with a platform to showcase their creativity and operational skills in hotel housekeeping.
Beyond technical execution, the competition served as a valuable learning experience, helping students develop essential soft skills such as time management, attention to detail, and teamwork. Working in groups under time constraints, participants learned to delegate tasks, communicate effectively, and uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation—core aspects of professional housekeeping.
Visit to Roseate Hotel
SOHMCT students enjoyed an incredible visit to the luxurious Roseate Hotel in New Delhi. The day kicked off with Executive Housekeeper Mr. Umesh highlighting the crucial role of housekeeping in hotel. Students explored the hotel’s laundry operations, and handling guest laundry, while discovering the latest laundry equipment and techniques. The visit also included a fascinating tour of the uniform room headed with a lavish lunch for the students. Students wrapped up the day with a tour of key areas, including the banquet kitchen, gym, spa, restaurant, bar, VIP lounge, and grand ballroom. This visit was an exciting opportunity to gain firsthand experience in luxury hotel operations.

An expert session on “Evolving Strategies: Trends in Marketing & PR for Budget and Hospitality Sectors” was conducted, featuring Ms. Bhavna Mishra Nanda, Portfolio Director of Marketing, Holiday Inn Express – An IHG Hotel. She shared insights into innovative brand marketing strategies adopted by Holiday Inn to attract and engage guests.

The School of Emerging Media & Creator Economy organised an educational visit to All India Radio (AIR), New Delhi, providing students with practical exposure to radio broadcasting and production. The visit familiarised students with the technical and creative aspects of radio journalism through guided interactions with industry professionals.
Key highlights included visits to the recording booth, programming and duty rooms, the historic Bapu Studio, and the Earth Station, where students learned about live broadcasting, content planning, and satellite transmission. The visit offered hands-on experience in audio editing, live radio jockeying, and real-time programming, giving students valuable insights into the functioning and career opportunities within the radio broadcasting industry.


Visit to News24 Channel
The School of Emerging Media & Creator Economy, K.R. Mangalam University, organised an industry visit to News 24 Channel, Noida, providing students with practical exposure to the workings of a television news organisation. The visit included attendance at the Live Manthan Conclave and guided tours of the Prime-Time Studio, Production Control Room (PCR), Master Control Room (MCR), Radio Studio, and regional news channels.
Students gained insights into newsroom operations, studio lighting, camera placement, teleprompter usage, and the news production process. The interaction with media professionals offered valuable real-world understanding of journalism, making the visit an informative and inspiring hands-on learning experience.
Visit to Jagran Film Festival
Students of K.R. Mangalam University, participated in the Jagran Film Festival, gaining valuable exposure to the world of filmmaking and contemporary media. The festival provided students with opportunities to engage with renowned filmmakers, actors, writers, and critics, offering firsthand industry insights.
Through panel discussions, masterclasses, and film screenings, students explored key aspects of storytelling, direction, cinematography, and digital media. Participation in Vani: The Power of Words
The School of Emerging Media and Creator Economy participated in “Vani: The Power of Words,” a one-day literary festival organised by the KARMA Foundation at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. The festival explored the role of literature in advocacy and social change through panel discussions, workshops, and storytelling sessions featuring eminent authors, academicians, policymakers, and social activists.
As the Knowledge Partner for the event, the institution actively contributed to the academic discourse. Students gained valuable insights into storytelling, media influence, and literary excellence, while also applying their practical skills by conducting guest interviews, creating vox pop content, and producing short event summaries. The experience proved enriching, strengthening students’ journalistic and content creation capabilities.

Session on Our Earth, Our Responsibility
The School of Agricultural Sciences (SOAS) organised an impactful session titled “Our Earth, Our Responsibility” aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: Climate Action. The keynote speaker, Dr. C. M. Bhagat, Managing Director of Bhagat Farms, Sohna, shared insights on sustainable agricultural practices, including organic farming, composting, rainwater harvesting, and renewable energy. He emphasised the importance of small daily actions—like reducing plastic use and planting trees—as meaningful steps toward a healthier planet. The session featured engaging discussions on climate-resilient crops, organic certification, and youth leadership in climate action.
Seminar on Post-Harvest and Food Processing
The School of Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with Verdanta Food Industry, organised a seminar and hands-on session on “Quality and Post-Harvest Food Processing.” The session provided students with practical exposure to post-harvest handling, food preservation techniques, and food safety standards.
Led by Ms. Richa Gupta, Proprietor of Verdanta Food Industry, the event included an interactive discussion on industry practices and a hands-on activity involving the preparation of Aonla Jam and Aonla Candy. The session enhanced students’ understanding of quality control, food processing, and commercial applications, equipping them with essential industry-relevant skills.
