Graduated students of 2024 and 2025 batch are requested to register for the Convocation Ceremony 2026 scheduled on 14th March 2026 at the following link, latest by 11:59 PM, 12th March 2026.

All students must reach the Venue (University Campus) by 8:30 AM. No student will be allowed entry for convocation after 9:30 AM.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

  • Students who have registered for the Convocation are required to report at the venue by 8:30 AM.
  • Entry to the campus for the Convocation will not be permitted after 9:30 AM. Students are therefore advised to arrive well in advance to complete the registration and robe collection formalities.
  • Students must be dressed in formal attire appropriate for the Convocation ceremony.
  • Only parents and spouses are permitted to accompany students as guests.
  • Students must carry a valid government-issued identity proof (such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, etc.) and present it to security personnel whenever required.
  • Students are required to deposit ₹1200 in cash with the robe vendor towards Convocation robe charges, out of which ₹1000 will be refunded upon return of the robe after the ceremony.
  • Upon arrival, students should proceed to the Registration Desk assigned to their respective School (for example: SOMC, SBAS, SOLS, etc.).
  • After completing registration, students must proceed to the designated Robe Issue Counter, where the Convocation Robes will be issued against the Convocation 2026 Registration Card.
  • Students must wear the Convocation Robes before entering the Convocation Hall. Volunteers will be available to assist with wearing the robes if required.
  • Entry into the Convocation Hall will not be permitted without wearing the Convocation Robes.
  • Wearing academic regalia is mandatory for all graduates receiving their degrees during the ceremony.
  • Dress Rehearsal: A complete dress rehearsal for Convocation 2026 will be conducted on 13th March 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Convocation Hall. Students are advised to attend the rehearsal to familiarize themselves with the ceremony protocol.
  • Students are expected to maintain discipline and decorum throughout the Convocation ceremony.
  • Mobile phones must be kept switched off or in silent mode during the ceremony.
  • There will be a security check at the entrance of the Convocation Hall. Items such as mobile phones, cameras, food items, and beverages may not be permitted inside the auditorium.
  • Faculty members and volunteers will guide students to their designated seats in the Convocation Hall.
  • Students must stand when the Academic Procession enters the Convocation Hall and remain standing until the members of the procession take their seats.
  • After the formal opening of the Convocation and completion of the welcome address, the Chief Guest will present the Gold Medals and Ph.D. Degrees. Students are requested not to take photographs using their mobile phones during the ceremony.
  • While receiving the degree on stage, students are requested to maintain decorum and complete the process promptly.
  • After receiving the degree, students must return to the same seat and row originally allotted to them.
  • During the National Anthem, students must stand and remain standing until the Academic Procession, distinguished guests, and dignitaries exit the Convocation Hall.
  • After the ceremony, students must return the Convocation Robes to the designated vendor counter in order to receive the refundable amount.
  • After lunch, school-wise group photographs of students will be organized, followed by the distribution of original degrees & Silver/Bronze medals from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
  • Students must ensure that all university dues are cleared prior to receiving their original degree. The No Dues Form must be submitted after obtaining clearance from the Accounts Office, Library, and Registrar’s Office, if applicable.

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS

  • Children will not be permitted inside the Convocation Hall.
  • Parents should arrive no later than 9:30 AM.
  • For security reasons, each guest must carry a valid photo ID.
  • Kindly rise and remain standing while the Academic Procession enters and exits the venue and during playing of National Anthem.
  • Kindly keep your cell phones on switch off/in silent mode at the Venue.
