Dr. Kriti completed her Ph.D. from Department of Physics at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab. She was a CSIR-SRF Fellow. She works in material science with an emphasis on environmental applications. Dr. Kriti holds B.Sc.(hons.) and M.Sc.(hons.) degrees in physics from Guru Nanak Dev University. She served as an assistant professor in D.A.V. College, Amritsar for a year. Currently, Dr. Kriti and her research team have worked in collaboration with Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi, in preparing novel materials for energy-efficient devices using ion implantation and SHI techniques. Her work involves the study of systems with better electrochromic performance, up-conversion phenomena, and color tunability for opto-electronic applications.

She was also a recipient of Fulbright Nehru Doctoral fellowship, under which she visited Columbia University in New York as a visiting research fellow for six months. In Columbia university, she carried out PDF Studies to understand the local electronic structure of rare earth doped tungsten oxide–based nanostructures using synchrotron-based studies.
