Alumni Talk on “Artificial Intelligence in Education”

The School of Education organised an Alumni Talk on “Artificial Intelligence in Education: Bridging Theory and Classroom Practice” to familiarise student-teachers with the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and its practical applications in the classroom. The session featured Ms. Shalika Kapoor, an alumna (2022–26) and currently working as a teacher at Lancer International School, Gurugram, as the resource person. Drawing from her professional experience, she shared practical insights into the use of AI and digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning. The interaction focused on innovative, technology-enabled, and learner-centred pedagogical practices. Ms. Kapoor also discussed how AI can support lesson planning, learning-resource creation, assessment, feedback, personalised learning, and classroom engagement. The session provided student-teachers with valuable insights into the evolving role of technology in education and encouraged them to explore responsible and effective ways of integrating AI into classroom practice.
