Educational Visit to Hello Haldwani 91.2 FM Community Radio

On the first day of their three-day educational visit, SJMC students had an enriching experience at Hello Haldwani 91.2 FM Community Radio. Dr. Rakesh Rayal, Associate Professor and Incharge of the station, delivered an insightful lecture on the relevance, functioning, challenges, and opportunities of community radio, highlighting its critical role in empowering local communities. Students observed live station operations, interacted with the RJ, and interviewed Radio Journalist Ms. Shiwani Bhaskar, gaining hands-on experience. Notably, the Journalism Department of Uttarakhand Open University expressed interest in establishing an MOU with SJMC, to foster academic collaboration.
