Legal Aid and Awareness Clinic

The Legal Aid Committee, in collaboration with the Centre for Criminology and Victimology, organised a Legal Aid and Awareness Clinic at Government Senior Secondary School, Dauhla, Sohna, Gurugram. The objective of the clinic was to create legal and policy awareness among higher secondary students and to collect their feedback on various government schemes and legal issues that impact youth and their communities. Volunteers from the Legal Aid Committee and the Centre for Criminology and Victimology conducted interactive sessions covering key topics such as digital arrest, First Information Report (FIR) procedures, the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Poshan Abhiyan, and the Mudra Loan Yojana.

The session engaged students in discussions on the implementation and accessibility of these initiatives, allowing them to share personal and community-level experiences. The outreach initiative not only helped students understand their legal rights and entitlements but also encouraged critical thinking on the effectiveness of government policies.
