On the occasion of National Technology Day 2026, the School of Medical & Allied Sciences (SMAS) organised a One-Day National Seminar on the theme “Innovations in Pharmaceutical Sciences for Sustainable Healthcare: Technology for Nation Building”. The event focused on highlighting the importance of technological advancements in pharmaceutical sciences and sustainable healthcare. The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Kunal Bahrani, Group Director & chairman, Neurologist, Yatharth hospital, India emphasised the integration of advanced medical technologies with patient-centric healthcare for better treatment outcomes. Guest of Honor and Eminent Speaker Dr. Manish Narang, Director of Medical Affairs, Abbott Pharmaceutical, shared valuable insights on innovations in drug development and the evolving pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Subhash Tripathi, Ex-Scientist, BARC, Mumbai, highlighted the significant role of research and technology in nation building, while Dr. Sakshi Jain, Associate Director, Medical affairs, TATA 1mg discussed the growing impact of digital healthcare platforms and pharmaceutical innovations in healthcare delivery.
