Samrasta: A Journey Towards Social and Religious Harmony

The School of Liberal Arts in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development organised an event titled A Dialogue on Samrasta: A Journey Towards Social and Religious Harmony. The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Maja Groff, Esq., a globally renowned expert on planetary governance, who highlighted the importance of social and religious harmony in shaping inclusive societies. She connected the principles of Samrasta with Sustainable Development Goals 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and 10 (Reduced Inequalities), while also addressing climate change as a vital dimension of sustainable development. The dialogue deepened participants’ understanding of harmony’s role in promoting peace, justice, and equality, and generated recommendations for both university and community-level initiatives. The event reaffirmed K.R. Mangalam University’s commitment to advancing sustainable, inclusive, and socially responsible institutional practices.
