Visit to Jamia Hamdard’s Centre of Excellence in Unani Medicine

The School of Medical & Allied Sciences organised an academic visit to Jamia Hamdard’s Centre of Excellence in Unani Medicine under the title “A Practical Exploration of Herbal Healing.”  The visit aimed to provide M. Pharm 1st Year students with practical exposure to advanced research techniques and interdisciplinary learning. Students explored cutting-edge facilities including zebrafish laboratories, cell culture labs, and analytical platforms such as GC-MS, HPTLC, and HPLC, while gaining valuable insights into phytochemical profiling, drug discovery, and herbal formulation validation. Expert-led interactive sessions and live demonstrations further highlighted the integration of Unani medicine with modern healthcare research. The visit proved to be a meaningful experiential learning opportunity, enriching students’ understanding of natural product drug development and strengthening their research orientation.
