Ar. Nisha Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture and Design and an architect-academician with over a decade of professional and academic experience. She has more than three years of professional experience in residential, commercial, and institutional projects. She worked with Kanvinde Rai Chowdhury, New Delhi, where she contributed to prestigious institutional projects such as IIT Kanpur and IIIT Jabalpur for over a year. She also worked with A7 Architects, Gurgaon, for more than two years, handling residential and commercial projects across various HUDA sectors in Gurgaon.
Ar. Nisha Sharma has actively participated in numerous Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), conferences, and academic engagements. She is a member of the Council of Architecture (COA), GRIHA, and the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). Her expertise lies in sustainability-driven design, with a strong focus on energy efficiency, climate-responsive architecture, and passive design strategies. She is committed to promoting environmentally responsible and context-sensitive design approaches through both academic engagement and professional practice.
Her areas of interest in teaching, research, and practice include Building Energy Performance Simulation, Net Zero Energy Buildings, Green Building Design using Sustainable Materials and Practices, Energy Retrofit of Buildings, Building Energy Policy, and Residential Design. She also advocates sustainable living practices in her personal life by promoting the use of shared transport and the judicious use of water and electricity.
