Dr. Smrutishree Sahoo

Dr. Smrutishree Sahoo is an Assistant Professor in the School of Agricultural Sciences at K.R. Mangalam University with expertise in Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding). She has earned her Ph.D. from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, where her research focused on utilizing teosinte-derived genetic resources for maize improvement. Her academic journey includes a Master’s degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics and a strong record of research publications, book chapters, and scientific presentations. Prior to joining academia, She worked as an Assistant Breeder at VNR Seeds Pvt. Ltd., gaining hands-on experience in crop improvement, breeding strategies, and molecular breeding support. She has also worked as an assistant professor in GIET University, gunupur, Odisha.  Dr. Smrutishree believes in integrating scientific knowledge with practical applications to create an engaging learning environment.
