Alina Banerjee is a dedicated researcher and academician specializing in Content-Based Video and Image Retrieval, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Optimization. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D.(Thesis Submitted) at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Delhi, after earning an M.Tech from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and a B.Tech from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi.
She is presently working as an Assistant Professor at K R Mangalam University, Gurugram.
She worked as an Assistant Professor at GD Goenka University, Gurugram, and serves as the International Office Coordinator. She previously held roles as Academic ERP In-Charge and Program Chair for BCA in Machine Learning and Data Analytics, where she contributed to curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic administration.
She has authored multiple Scopus and Web of Science-indexed publications, focusing on deep learning-based video retrieval, optimization techniques, and clustering methods. She has also presented at international conferences and won the Best Paper Award at AIST 2022.
Ms. Banerjee gained industry experience as a corporate trainer at CMC Ltd., Kolkata, and as a Software Engineer Trainee at Satyam Computers. She holds a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification and teaches subjects such as Advanced Machine Learning, Web Programming, and Computer System Architecture.
She remains committed to advancing AI-driven video retrieval, deep spatiotemporal features, and prototype learning for efficient data indexing and retrieval systems.
