About KEIC - KRMU’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club. KEIC aims to foster a culture of entrepreneurship on campus. We believe in unlocking our students’ creativity to enable them to create the next generation of innovative companies and non-profits to solve some of the most pressing problems facing the nation.



Pre-Incubation Program

About

This is a four-month rigorous pre-incubation programme aimed to assist entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into profitable businesses. This is for individuals or groups of individuals who are in the ideation stage of their product and service and wish to create or validate it. This programme will include training to work on ideas, as well as business plan preparation, mentoring, product development assistance, technical assistance, and access to networking events.


Eligibility

Entrepreneurs and individuals or groups of individuals, who want to work on innovative products, services, and processes.

Selection Process

  • All the applications will be evaluated by the evaluation committee
  • Evaluation committee may call applicants for in-person discussion
  • Those selected for the incubation program will need to register with KEIC, by signing a MoU for the program.

Offerings

  • Access to mentors through mentor matching program. Weekly check-ins with the in-house mentor.
  • Access to Govt schemes and funds through AIM NITI Aayog network
  • Exclusive mentor hours with visiting guests and experts
  • Industry-specific round tables on need basis for peer to peer learning
  • Access to world-class content for venture development and Business planning
  • Auxiliary service support such as Legal, accounting, etc.

Tenure in Incubation Centre

  • A startup will be called pre-incubate for 4 months, post that if not extended, they will have called as alumni of the KEIC pre-incubation program.
  • A nominal monthly service charge will be levied to a company for the period of the first 4 months. Post 4 months’ utilization charge of 3,000/- + tax will be charged per person.
  • KEIC may, at its discretion, permit companies to extend their stay for a maximum period of another 3 months.




Incubation Program

About

This is a 9 month long intensive incubation program designed to help entrepreneurs materialize their ideas into successful ventures. This is for individuals and groups of individuals, who are at the prototype & scaling stage and want to develop or validate the product. This program will provide training to work on ideas, Business plan development, business mentoring, product development support, technical support, and access to networking events and funding networks.


Eligibility

Entrepreneurs and individuals or groups of individuals, who want to work on innovative products, services, and processes.

  • All the applications will be evaluated by the AIC evaluation committee
  • Evaluation committee may call applicants for in-person discussion
  • Evaluation committee will submit their recommendation to Director, KEIC for approval
  • Those selected for the incubation program will need to register with KEIC, by signing a MoU for the program.

  • AWS credits worth $500 for each registered idea
  • Access to KRMU research and development office
  • Access to Govt schemes and funds through AIM NITI Aayog network
  • Access to fully equipped co-working space
  • Exclusive mentor hours with visiting guests and experts
  • Industry-specific round tables on need basis for peer to peer learning
  • Access to world-class content for venture development and Business planning
  • Auxiliary service support such as Legal, accounting, etc.

Hackathon

About

KEIC wants to make a big difference in the lives of its customers (which includes businesses) by developing smart gadgets in the home and lifestyle categories that will help them simplify a part of their daily routine. The goal is to first identify the issues and personal/business use cases, and then to come up with particular solutions that may be incorporated into the categories. Sports, exercise, wellness, health, entertainment, safety, home automation, and fashion accessories are just a few examples. The problem should be addressed to a wide group of people aged 40 and up, and the solution should be scalable.


Eligibility

It is open to all full-time students at business schools, engineering, and graduate colleges, including college students from all disciplines, across India and all start-ups.

Opportunities

  • Yes, the top three in each category will receive cash prizes. Opportunities for further development of the winning solutions will be 1% of sales for their product. All participating students and start-ups will receive certificates.

Stages of Hackathon

  • Ideation: Identify the problem area and submit your relevant solutions for the same.
  • Presentation: Present your idea in a self-explanatory presentation that conveys detailed description of concept and target customers.
  • Implementation: Producing an early, inexpensive, and scaled down version of your product which specifies the mechanism.
  • Collaboration: After your ideas turn into reality present it effectively to our jury and get a chance to win exciting rewards and work with us.
