Programme Overview

The B.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication) degree program at K.R. Mangalam University prepares students for a career in journalism and trains them to become journalists as fully formed mass media practitioners, capable of reporting, producing, and communicating effectively across all platforms (print, television/radio and digital).

The curriculum includes courses on the core subject areas such as reporting, editing, digital journalism, graphic design, visualisation, and media law. In addition to learning theoretical concepts, students receive hands-on experience working in a studio environment and training in radio/podcasting.

Upon completion of the three-year program, graduates will be equipped to pursue careers in journalism/broadcasting/public relations/advertising/digital content/corporate communications and assume actual day-to-day responsibilities within an evolving industry shaped by digital media/OTT/web-first/social-first storytelling.
