Ph.D. in Law

The minimum qualification for admission to a Ph.D. course is a postgraduate degree or equivalent in the concerned subject from a recognized Indian University, or a postgraduate degree approved by the Association of Indian Universities/UGC/AICTE with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale.

The Ph.D. Application are accepted twice a year. For January Session – Between November to January and for July Session – Between June to August

Yes, it is mandatory to have all required marksheets to enrol in Ph.D., course at KRMU. A candidate’s form will be registered and he /she will be offered an entrance exam date only on submission of all required documents including last semester marksheet in case of final year appearing candidates.

Yes. Each doctoral scholar is assigned a Supervisor and, where applicable, a Co-Supervisor who provide academic guidance, research mentorship, and support throughout the research journey.

Scholars may pursue research in a wide range of areas, including Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Human Rights, Environmental Law, International Law, Cyber Law, Labour Law, Family Law, and other emerging interdisciplinary legal fields, subject to the availability of research supervisors.
